About Me

Growing up, I had a passion for visual art that has stayed with me to this day. As an illustrator, I'm fascinated by the ability of a single piece of paper to capture the beauty of life and tell its stories. I draw inspiration from the bold brush strokes of impressionist art, which influenced the work I do as an illustrator. My journey as an illustrator begins with a quick rough sketch of a still-life subject, which I then developed to create soft and majestic images of appreciation of life, sharing its stories and expression.

AIR ABOVE THE SURFACE

'Air Above the Surface' is a picturebook about Mental Fatigue for 18-24 young adults. The picturebook conveys the emotional and behavioural changes due to life and academic struggles through a three-part narrative - Lost, Hope, and Healing - with vivid imagery of water as a recurring metaphor for drowning in burden and sea creatures for navigation and hope. This project is dedicated to those who are experiencing mental fatigue. It aims to encourage those to seek support by building conversation with a trustworthy individual. 'Air Above the Surface' is inspired by my journey of experiencing burnout during my university life.
